We hope you felt welcomed at the Early Childhood Methodist Conference (ECMC). Your conference committee hopes you found the two conference days filled with helpful and challenging training, and that you had opportunities to visit with teachers from other schools to share experiences and teaching techniques. This is an exciting time to be in the field of Early Childhood Education, as current research confirms the importance of a child's preschool experiences. Training is essential to be an informed teacher dedicated to professional growth.

The conference committee has enjoyed working together to plan and prepare this training event. The volunteer committee is made up of directors and teachers in weekday ministries programs. Service on the committee is a rewarding opportunity to complement our profession, and allows us to plan workshops that will be valuable and inspiring to our colleagues.

We are always looking for new committee members. From the experienced teacher to the new director, everyone's ideas are important. The committee meets monthly throughout the school year; responsibilities are divided among the members, but all assist one another. Members serve for three years on a rotating basis. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please contact a committee member during the conference. We welcome your interest and participation.
